Picture Perfect

Despite several ruined outfits due to chemicals splashing and still not quite mastering how to place my film around the developing reel, I really love to shoot film. There is something about developing your pictures in a quiet, dark room that is so relaxing. And rewarding.

However, working with film can be difficult and frustrating. But like anything in life worth pursuing, you have to be patient and work at it. There’ll be mistakes and spills. There’ll be blurry and overexposed shots. There’ll be undeveloped film lost to the light and people who just don’t like your pictures. But you learn. And you get better.

Sometimes you’ll find those “mistakes” weren’t really mistakes after all. It’s all part of the experience.
